Oven-Roasted Pork with Sweet Chilli & Honey Glaze!
If you want to add a modern twist to your Easter table, oven-roasted pork with a sweet chilli and honey glaze is an excellent choice. The meat is slow-roasted until tender and then finished with a glossy glaze that caramelizes lightly in the oven. The flavor balances the sweetness of honey with the mild heat of the chilli sauce, creating a festive dish that stands out while remaining comforting and satisfying.
Preheat the oven to 180°C. In a bowl, mix the olive oil, mustard, paprika, chopped garlic, salt and pepper. Rub the mixture thoroughly over the pork so it is evenly coated.
Place the pork in a roasting pan and pour the white wine into the bottom of the pan. Cover the pan with aluminum foil and roast for about 1½ hours, until the meat starts to become tender.
Meanwhile, prepare the glaze by mixing the sweet chilli sauce, honey, soy sauce and vinegar or lime juice in a small bowl.
Remove the foil from the roasting pan, brush the pork generously with the glaze and continue roasting for another 20–30 minutes. During this time the glaze will caramelize slightly and create a shiny, flavorful crust on the surface of the meat.
Allow the pork to rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Serving
Serve the roasted pork with oven-baked potatoes, rice or a fresh salad. For extra flavor, you can also offer additional sweet chilli or spring roll sauce on the side as a dipping sauce.
