Ramen with Chicken & Vegetables – Simple & Quick

Ingredients

  • 2 packages 𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐧𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐋 𝐄𝐗𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐒
  • 1 chicken fillet (breast or boneless thigh), thinly sliced

  • 1 carrot, cut into thin strips
  • 1 small zucchini, sliced

  • 1 handful of mushrooms (e.g. oyster mushrooms or white mushrooms), chopped

  • 2 tablespoons of 𝐒𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 sauce

  • 1 tablespoon of sesame oil 𝐁𝐋𝐔𝐄 𝐃𝐑𝐀𝐆𝐎𝐍

  • 1 cube of chicken stock or 500 ml of ready-made stock

  • 1 spring onion, finely chopped

  • 1 egg (optional, boiled for serving)

  • Salt & pepper

Execution

    1. Cook the chicken: In a small saucepan or deep frying pan, heat some oil and sauté the chicken until browned on all sides (about 5 minutes). Season with salt and pepper.

    2. Throw in the vegetables: Add the carrot, zucchini and mushrooms. Sauté for 3-4 minutes to soften slightly.

    3. Wet the leaves nori 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬
    4. Make the broth: Add the broth (or water + cube) and 𝐒𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬

    5. Let it come to a boil.

    6. Cook the Oriental Express Ramen noodles: drop the noodles into the broth and let them boil according to the instructions on the package (usually 3-5 minutes).

    7. Serving: Place your ramen in a bowl, top with the chicken, vegetables and nori leaves.

    8. If you like, add half a boiled egg and sprinkle with spring onions and a little sesame oil.
