It all started with a journey...

In 1959, a young explorer thirsty for knowledge and with a great love for International Cuisine, he decided to broaden his horizons and embark on a grand journey to countries of the Far East in order to experience firsthand the Asian Culinary Art.

For several months, he traveled through various countries, collecting secrets and techniques that would serve as the foundation for a new venture upon his return to his homeland.

Starting from China, a centuries-old story began to unfold before him.

He spent several weeks experimenting with ingredients and discovering the techniques of the four main local cuisines from North to South. Beijing, Shanghai, Sichuan, and Canton were the main stops of his journey, dedicating endless hours to exploration and visits to traditional markets, restaurants, and even homes. The experience was unique! It was a magical balance of flavours, harmoniously connecting sweet, salty, sour, bitter, and spicy, all through simple techniques and perfect ingredient combinations.

Ideas began to take shape in his mind.
